Yes i actually does help with the crud ring. If you use the bore coat and use the 777 primers, theres basically no crud ring. I use the W209s which are pretty dirty and i can just feel where the crud ring normally is, but it doesnt build up and get tight.

I might have to try this out! I started using triple seven again and got reminded of the crud ring. I'm using kleanbore primers and it isn't bad, but I could see me getting a ramrod stuck while hunting if I wasn't careful

Make sure you follow the direction and use jb bore paste or something to clean the bore back to bare steel, that plays a huge part in how the final product comes out.
