Hornady 50 cal 300gr sst
#3
I havent shot them much lately but in my old WinApex liked them with 100grs. If you like those you can buy the Harvester Scorpion PT Golds for a bit less in 50 packs and get sabots separately. I dont think Hornady offers the 300s in bulk packs yet and they compare pretty well to the SST/FTXs.

I have shot these out of my knight disc and with 100 grain loose 777 it is accurate and I have taken several does with many of those only going two - five yards before piling up and I shot a buck at 114 yard quatering to me and he dropped in his tracks another buck I shot last year went about 35 yards . I think I will stick with this setup

A very good bullet. I like them better then the 250 grain SST's. Never had the chance to use them to harvest an animal, so I can not comment there. But they are accurate in my Black Diamond and a few other rifles.

I've shot them on paper and got good results. But what I didn't like was the bullet after the impact. Many times it would seperate or be in many fragments. I personally like at bullet that stays together and has a nice mushroom effect. They may be good for whitetail. I just didn't want to even try them on killing an elk. Thats why I use the 300 grain XTP Mag. They havn't failed yet.
