Default great news in the big game book!

my hunting area now allows doe tags for muzzleloading season!!! Saw a bunch last year and only one buck so the odds of getting something just got better!

That's great Devil. Bucks are fun and exciting, but a deer is a deer if you eat meat.

It's funny - I can spot a doe moving through the woods and sit back and enjoy watching her so long as I'm not planning to shoot a doe. But if I've decided to try and take a doe on a hunt, the adrenaline starts pumping the minute I see one and really goes to town when I shoulder the gun.

Here in Virginia is different. During our two week ML season all are fair game. If it's brown, take it down!

But during gun season, we have different days for does by county.

Glad to hear you will be able to fill your freezer with some tasty protein enriched backstraps!!!

well if we get at least one doe tag i'd be happy! I already have a Preference point for bull and a buck! The bulls were bugling like nuts last year too.

Speaking of doe tags, once upon a time in a land far-far away (NY state) I remember we had to aply for a four (4) man doe tag. This was back in the 1950's. That was when it was a thrill to even see a deer in the woods during hunting season, let alone bag one!!! Times have changed, ain't they?
