Default Successful outing

My cousin sent me this picture. He and his friend killed these two plus a couple smaller ones over the weekend.

That is one dangerous game I no longer hunt. When I hunted that kind of game too hard, it usually made me look stupid. Something I do not like.

personally I very rarely touch the stuff. Heck a 6 pack of beer will last me 3 months. I have enough trouble keeping my wits without the benefits of alcohol.

I finally wasted one just like that last week. Of course I had wounded it many times in the preceeding couple months. They fight back pretty hard if you try to take them out in one shot.

With all the ailments I have and meds to take, can't drink anymore. And ya know I don't miss it.

It does get a little old being sober around a bunch of drunks at times.

I will drink a few beers from time to time, but working in the ER I have to take care of drunks all to often. Drunks are the worse people to take care of.

Never touch it anymore.
Finally figured out if you don't drink it you don't get drunk (and do stupid things).

I have not killed a combined 12 of birdwiesers in the last 3 years. I think I outgrew that kind of hunting. Does nothing for me any more.

Well, I have to admit to enjoying sipping a Scotch on the rocks while I'm cleaning the guns, and often have a cold beer with a can of sardines and some crackers for a camp lunch. A couple of evening drinks over the course of the weekend does the job though. I'm strictly a small game hunter. Gave up trying to kill those big ones quite a while back.
