That's too bad Devil. Now you have to send everyone on the forum a sample pack of five.

No rush though - anytime in the next few weeks will do.

Casts nice!! I got 10 done before i noticed the flame on my stove sputtering. a dozen gas cans and not a damn one with any gas!

Im outside doing it in a campfire so, its going to take a while to melt that 3lbs of lead. Casts really nice though. Will post pics once i get more casted up

Well, at 20 yards they didnt shoot for chit with 80gr JSG 2f. Horrible groups. I went inside and dropped the charge down to 60gr JSG 2f and bingo!! After some adjustments to the sights, i had a 3 shot cluster that was very good. Tomorrow i will try 80gr 2f APP and see how that does. I dont have much shooting practice with JSG yet.

If they don't shoot for you try dropping twenty grains volume of cornmeal between the powder and the bullet and see if that improves things.

I'll remember to try that Semi.

I changed my mind, i will try 60gr APP 2f instead of 80. Just start low and try 3 shots and see how it goes.

Heres some pictures. My nephew and I built that fireplace about 5 years ago. Just mud, straw and rocks we hauled up. The heat it throws, will run you out!

Lead, mold and dripper being heated up.

After,

6 shots with JSG 2f. I tried cool down between each shot on 3 and then 3 shots with load and fire. Didn't help a thing.

5 shots total with the first 2 being adjuster rounds. I was surprised to see how high the first one was with only 60gr JSG.

Its right on the line of being 2" high @ 20 yards so, that may be just a bit to high @ 50 yards.

Wink

Not sure what size or wieght your bullet is, but I use a Miniball bullet mould for my .58 Zouave:

This is a true miniball bullet. Don't know why Lee cals their bullet a mini??? It is more like a flat based conical.

I will be trying this bullet in my newly acquired T/C Big Boar .58

If you tinker with the powder charge, you may change your accuracy some.
