I love my butler creek caps! Wouldn't get caught without them! I always have them on even if it's a sunny morning or evening hunt. They are always there. My buddies always say they need to get a pair when we're walking in or out of the woods in ****ty weather. I would say they are a must have. Maybe if Butler Creek was more of a sponsor then you would see more pro hunters use them.

ive yet to find the best scope covers. butler creek or the bizzards are hit or miss. they either fit weird pop open too easy.

For my Leupolds, I use the Alumina Flip Ups. They are expensive, but worth every penny IMO. Light, very sturdy, stay shut, and open easily. My Bushnell Elites have Rain Guard - so I do not need any covers. The rain guard feature is very nice, and works like advertised.

When I store my rifles I use the scope covers that normally come with the scope, but when I hunt I leave them at home.
