Sabotloader,
The point of impact was a good question. My opinion only is because the bullet has a much better BC. Also you have pics that show how much the Lehigh's look like a CF bullet. Very aerodynamic to say the least.
If you did your own BC'S i think you would see why you see what you have already found. Better 200yard trajectory. XTP'S are still great bullets on Deer size game. I just would keep them under 200yards.

Shoot - your right wrong target... I did an edit...
You're confusing your bullets. Too many powder volume changes. Even a 777 thrown in there. They just give up and go into the target . Seems as long as you hit 90gr or better your good to go!

I wonder what the velocity of that round would be?

Old/New: Nice report and pics... thanks for posting.
I noticed you shot the Lehighs yesterday (6/28) in 80* weather. Did you allow the barrel to cool down between shots ?
Just asking because I can't get decent groups when the temp gets above 70*... and I don't have the patience to wait 10+ minutes between shots.

Good question rt...I was wrong on the temp. It was about 70 at the start and rose up to 76 degrees. I shot some after a cool down because I was also shooting th PH & the Lyman. But the last 5 shot group was pretty much one after the other.

I am just wandering ( Not trying to start an agrument) why with the grouping you get with the XTP and them being half the price or better under that of the Lehigh's, and not to mention proven to wreck havoc on a whitetail. Why you would consider changing.
I know there is always bigger and better out there but I just can't see them killing an animal any better than an XTP to warrant paying twice as much.
I see people making the comparison of BH 209 and 777 all the time. but, at least BH has the agrument of being cleaner and not having to swab between shoots.

INRecordBookBuck,
You have a point. But I like to tinker somewhat. Also, this gun is relatively new. In the upcoming months I will be shootong it at 150 yds, 200yds, and maybe a bit further. Who knows what will happen out at the longer ranges. Probably not a big issue. Just something I feel like doing.

I look foward to any report you may do, at the further distances compared to the XTP's. thanks for the reply and the time you have put in testing.
