My Accura is here

RE: My Accura is here
Very nice MD. I like that stock design. Works for both lefty & righty. I saw a CVA back in March at a Walmart in FL with a RH thumbhole stock for only $200 on sale. I guess I should have got it and replaced the stock with that design.

Looks like it's worth getting to me. Looks like the Triumph is the only Inline T/C got worth buying now.
Is the Accura a proven BH209 shooter?

BH209 is about all I shoot out of my .45 Accura and I have no problems.

RE: My Accura is here
Im just shooting the bullets that i have on hand to see how the rifle does with different bullets. They didnt do bad either, 2 1/2" groups @ 100. My 120gr RS / 245gr powerbelt would have been good but with the cold wet weather i didnt swab on my last shot and it blew the group and opened it up to 4" I think i will redo that on a nicer day. This entire week looks like crap [:@] And the sabre tooths again, the bases will not come off the darn bullets, I posted some pics on modern muzzleloader of the 300gr sabre tooth with the sabot still attched to it right after i pulled it out of my sand box.

MD, I'm surprised to see you trying the Sabertooths again after your previous issues of them falling out of your barrel. Maybe the new Accura has a little tighter bore?

RE: My Accura is here
Almost forgot, Sjsfire brought up the tighter bore idea. I have always slugged my bores to see what they were and i forgot to do that on this one.
The accuras rifling is weird. The land itself has a very narrow/shallow goove in it. It was very hard to take measurements on this rifling but i came up with measurements from .501 - .502 land and .507 - .508 groove. I used a tight fitting remington gamemaster conical to do the measurements but will get some hornady great plains conicals and redo the measurements.
