T/C Pro Hunter Bullet drop?
I just picked up my new Pro hunter this weekend and brought it to the range.
I am using 3 Triple 7 pellets (150gn), 250gn shockwave black wadding, and cleaning after every shot.
I zero'd it in to an inch high at 100yds. I shot 3 shots all touching and declared it sighted in. I then out of interest shot it to the 200yd markers. I had a regular 8.5 x 11 sheet of paper. I then leveled the scope on the top of the paper and shot three times. All struck in about the size of a baseball or smaller.(Excellent grouping gun) The drop on the sabot was exactly 9 inches on all the shots.
Is this a normal drop for this load at that range. I was also wondering the drop of a 100grain charge, if someone has tried it. I raout of time before we could try that experiment.
Thanks Jeff

RE: T/C Pro Hunter Bullet drop?
I haven't shot that exact load but have shot some similar loads and you should be clocking in around 2000 to 2100 fps and at 1" high it should be on at about 125 yards. Dropping back to 100gr will slow it down by 150 to 200 fps and sighted in at 125 yards will put you about 1.5 to 2.5 inches more drop at 200 vs the 150gr load or about 10.5 to 11 inches down.
You may want to do a max point blank range sight in with that load, i.e. 3" high at 100 yards gives you right around 190 yards when it drops 3" down and is down about 4.3" at 200 yards. Good luck and good shooting.

The gun is a Pro hunter 28" fluted stainless with the realtree hardwoods stock and forearm.
I have Weaver base and rings with a Leupold VarXIII 4.5-14x50 silver. I know its way overkill of a scope but bought it for a steal. Most likely with put a twist lock base on the barrel and swap it between a 300 win mag barrel after I purchase one.
