RE: Load questions
My Omega just loves the T/C Shockwaves w/100gr of T7 FFg. When I show my 100yd target to my buddies they think im lieing when I say I use a peep. I have never wounded a deer and I dont want to start now. When I was growing up on the east coast, our neighbors would jack deer with a .22 cuz of the low noise level. They always had a deer hanging in the barn. It boils down to placement for sure. The S/W shoots flat and accurate. I think I am going to shoot some sand bags, frozen turkey and other mediums to see for myself how the performance iswith the S/W. Barnes too for that matter. The more I learn, the less I know. Its not rocket science but it is bullet science. Back to the drawing board.

Seems it was Chap that used to say that accuracy alone wasn't a good enough reason to use a bullet for hunting. There is no doubt that there are better bullets for hunting than the SW. Other posters here have mentioned the gold dot as an alternative. The 44 caliber 270g gold dot shoots pretty good in my Omega, perhaps it will in yours. Here is a group shot with a peep sight at 98yd:
The load was 105g BH209, winchester 209 primer, and a crush rib sabot.
