Default Ball Starter/ Short starter?

Does anybody use these with an Inline Muzzleloader? I dont, but i'm sure a few do. I used to use one all the time with a FlintLock with patch and round ball. But not with an inline.

I use them all the time. Although I like the T handle ones better when shooting sabots.

I shoot Hornady FPBs in my Genesis. Pretty much need a starter to load those bullets.

I use a ball starter all the time, I have made one for nearly every rifle/pistol I shot. I picked up an assortment of wooden balls from a craft shop years ago. I drill them for a dowel and use a 38 spec. case for the tip, either glued on or a pin threw it. I even drill a shalow hole to fit the end of the ram rod. Then I have a round knob on the ram rod if needed. I even have some that also have a 38 or 44 case in the side of them for a true Ball starter.

I use them too for almost all my ML. The only ML I don't need it for is my Lyman GPH. That shoots the REAL bullets well I can can usually start them down the bore with firm thumb pressure.

The only rifles I really do not need them for are the Whites. I can load them with just the ramrod pressure.

Heck ya I use a short starter. As a matter a fact I forgot it yesterday when I went to the range and I really missed it. Pushing the Barnes 250gr TMZ down the bore of my Omega was a chore!
