Default Nosler Partition - .451/260gr.?????

How hard do you guys usually push this bullet before accuracy starts to fall off. I'm thinking about 110gr of BH209 and a harvester short black sabot in my Endeavor. If this will shoot accurate, it should be deadly on anything that walks here in Florida. What do you guys think? What has been your experience?

110 of BH should be fine. I also have an Endeavor and I found that the MMP HPH12 works great with a .451 bullet. But I was using Barnes and the Nosler may like a different sabot.

Every gun is different the 110BH is what I use in my guns the SB sabot does wonders with the pointy bullets but the MMP HPH24 or the Crush Rib work much better with RN or HP bullets. Lee

Scott for what it is worth I shoot 110 grains of T7-2f, HPH-24 sabot and the 260 Nosler in all of my inlines. If the right opportunity presented itself I would shoot an elk with that combination without a thought although I would prefer to have a 300 grain Nosler in the bore...

The 260 is such a good bullet because it will expand equally at 15 yards as it does at 150 even on a thin skinned whitetail. When Nosler makes a partition they do not offer a pencil.... now that is suppose to be funny

Thanks Sabotloader, I think I'll get some HPH 24's when I order my bullets. I would think either the HPH 24 or the harvester sb should do the trick. IF I can get them to group as good as the FTX' bullets I've been shooting, then this might be my new hunting load.

Just coming back from MM where you toild me you were shooting a Endevor... I am wondering if the 24's might be to loose for it... normally i would not say that but someone, maybe you, loaded HPH-12's in an Endevor for shooting BH. If the 12's will go reasonably then the 24's might be to loose (just hard for to think a 12 will go down a TC bore)... Maybe the H. short blacks might even be a hair tighter than the 24...

I guess only shooting will tell for sure...

I think it was SWThomas that used the HPH 12's in his Endeavor with the Barnes T-EZ bullet. I may have to get some of each sabotand see which one it likes best. I guess I could to a test fit at tht house and see how each sabot feels going down the barrel. That way I don't waste to many of those expensive Nosler's. I should be able to tell if on or the other is to loose or to tight. Maybe this will get me in the ball park.

SHulion-I shoot the 260 with 105 gr 777/3f. I buy Nosler sabots from Midsouth (I believe they are MMP HP-12's) I started using Noslers when I bought Jim Shockeys video/bullet promotion and never tried another sabot.
