Thompson Center XTP Mag Sabots
Anyone shoot these Thompson Center XTP Mag sabots? They got a perfect review on Cabelas out of 25 people. I was thinking of ordering some and giving them a wirl...price is right...I would use them for target practice and deer hunting only. also, any suggestions on grains...245 or 300?

RE: Thompson Center XTP Mag Sabots
I use the 300g MAG for deer, bear and hog. I've never had the first trouble out of them. Years ago I used the 240s but no longer. Nothing against the 240, I simply started using heavier grain bullets for almost everything I hunt with now.
Give 'em a shot, only your gun will tell you if they shoot well. Doesn't really matter what the bullet will do if your gun won't hit a barn with them.

mnprohunter,
I shoot the 240 grainXTP Mag out of my NEF Huntsman,
but since my gun has a tight fitting bore,I had to switch
to the mmp 3-petalez sabot. This combo works great with
90grains oftriple 7 loose powder.
