I checked the link also and saw the SOLD OUT notice. While I was there I drifted over to the black powder rifles section. Did you notice the Traditions Deerhunter for $187? The picture shows a flintlock. I wonder if it really is.

Good shooting Dave. It appears that that rifle likes the 85 gr of FFFg. Does that barrel have the QLA?
Weather's getting nice - was 65 degrees on my back porch today in the sun.

Hey Dave, I got nothin' on the 2f vs. 3f, but have noticed that my PA Hunter holds more fouling than my New Englander, using the same powder. Wondered if it might have to do with the different rifling depths, .012 in the PA vs. .006 in the NE. Just a thought.
That PA Hunter sure is a pretty rifle.

No, there is no QLA on this old rifle. Actually the rifle is nice looking but you can see a lot of wear on it. I bought this used and it really is a nice rifle to shoot and handle. I was more curious as to how it was going to shoot all these darn roundball I bought. Now I have something to shoot...

Well I only got 800 of them. But I still had six boxes of swagged and a large cloth pouch of some I home cast. So I have plenty to shoot for a while..
Bronko... not really. Just no one to tell me NO! But then I never listened to them tell me NO when I was married which is one reason I am no longer...

I hear ya buddy. I saw that Cablela's had Champion generators (4000 watt) on sale today only for $299. I told my sweetie that I was going to get one. Well she ranted and raved that I didn't need one and I wasn't going to get one.
HA - guess what is down in my basement? A nice shiny new Champion generator. I told her she's lucky I didn't come home with a Crockett rifle too. I did have one in my hand, as well as a Persolli Long Rifle.

Kind of sounds like the way I used to be.
I had a real habit of going fishing when there was things to be done around the house. I lived on a lake and it was just to tempting to go climb in the boat and float around all day.
