Default 250gr FTX Range Report

Well I have all kinds of excuses, the wind was bad it was cold and I was bundled up, On the other hand they did ok for the conditions. The first two shots were with Montana Xbore oil in the barrel I just gave it a quick wipe,Since thats the way I hunt I shoot my first group that way to.
I was on the CC rifle range at the 100yd bench with my Triumph,
first group was 120gr BH and a Short Black Harvester sabot, the light was good the wind was 8-15 and a bit gusty. It may not be the best group but I was pleased with it under the circumstances. Lee

The second group was with every thing the same but I changed the powder load to 110 gr BH209.
After that I thought I had a feel for what they were doing to check that I hit the 8 inch gong at 250 3 times in a row. Then I pasted a delighted smile on and headed for home. Lee

HoooWeeee! Very nice shooting there Lee.But it's not very nice of you to post targets like that with those expensive bullets that I don't want tobuy.

If I can line up with a boar next month when I get away to go boar hunting for a couple days we will find out how well they work for hunting. While they appear to like a bit less powder than the SW ; I think I like the design a bit better, with the fold in nose and the thinner shoulder they will probably bulge in the middle and get deep penetration with out coming apart. I like the price to. This summer will tell but so far they look good. Lee

Semisane
The FTX are made for reloading and are boxed 50 to a box for 26 dollars I thought that was much better than SW's. Lee
