maybe I will get both..

Good idea, you will save some money on shipping

I have another Investarms (sporterized hawken), I bet the stainless would look good on there too.

Know what would look really cool and I am thinking about it. Taking all the brass from a Hawken to a plating shop and having it either nickel plated and sand blasted or zinc plated and then putting a stainless barrel on it.
Call me old fashion, and no offense dp, but I think the blue and brass go better together.
T/C made a Hawkin rifle like that once. It was a Hawkin Elite or something like that. A person I know has one. I've tried to talk him out of it a number of times, but he will not budge. Even though I doubt he's ever shot the thing.

+1, I thought I was watching "Days of Our Lives" or something like that, he must have had a very weak moment of reflection or have been shooting powder in an unvented room----very dangerous to your emotional development, sorta like lead paint.

Dave - I believe you are referring to the T/C Cougar. It was the same as the Hawken except nicer wood and a pewter like finish instead of brass. Also the patchbox was replace with a medallion with the T/C cougar. Really cool looking rifles. Wish I had one as well.

Hey Gotbuck and Chap, it was a new experience for me. I've never had Pyrodex P ( PP ? )burning in my bore before.
