The new FTX
I have some of the new FTX 250 gr45 cal bullets, I expected at least a few people would be intrested, was going to shoot them today but its pouring down rain here to the point that the range looks like a lake.
So far I cut one in half with the dremal tool to see what I could see.
Heres some pics.

Notice the teeth? suppports? that extend into the hollow point from the jacket. Doyou suppose that this is one of the new type bullets that flatten in frontwhile bulging in the middle? I notice that the jacket is thinner right at the shoulder. Lee

I got them from graf and sons.
I believe that they have some similarity to the SW but instead of being bonded they use the interlock system. I am hoping that they will split the difference between the regular SW and the Bonded SW and give good penetration as well as good expansion. They appear so much like the SW that I think they may well shoot the same they cost around 50 cents a piece or 26 Dollars for a box of 50. Lee

One of the guys got some of the 44 cal265 gr I think we should be seeing a report on them before to long.
If these 250 gr FTX work out [shoot with the accuracy of the 250 SW I will be testing the penatration and expansion if that works out I will stock up on them and then try the .458 dia 325 gr [ looks like a mean elk and moose bullet to me]Lee
