Default brain fart

did some fitting to the stock. brain fart, I ordered the wrong size barrel. need an 1" not and 15/16". once I get some funds I will get some stuff and fit it to the stock. at least I did not order it too large.

also the nipple does not line up just right to the hammer. I'll worry about that a little later. it hit the inside wall (best I can describe it.)on the stock side. so maybe a one problem with fix the other. or just trying another nipple may fix it.

A barrel that is 1/16" wider MAY move the nipple 1/32" to the right.

A new nipple won't have any effect, unless your existing nipple was made badly out of center. I doubt that's the case.

I am going to do a small amount of acraglass to make up the space. as for the moving the nipple. I was thinking of a rubber gasket or washer to move it the distance I need. only problem is that I gotta make sure the drum matchs up with the hammer right.

I think he already browned the barrel which means his best bet is to sell it and get the right one. Always fit the parts before you start the project I guess... Sorry to hear of your troubles.

I did, looked like it fit, but it is me. I thought one thing and got another. another solution would be to get an another stock.

both problems some what solved.

I went I got some 3/16" weather striping. placed it on the barrel on one side opposite the nipple, than 2 in one both sides of the barrel lug. which gave me enough space to push the nipple enough to give me enough clearance for a nipple with a cap to be hit with the hammer with out hitting the sides.

did the test with a rem #11. the cap was really really loose on the nipple. almost think the nipple is an #10 nipple. where the F did I get an #10 from? I don't own any BP 6 shooters.

If it would work, I'dhave the hammer bent before I resorted to weather stripping.

the weather striping is easy to remove. little alcohol to clean up what is left. going to bend the hammer once I get the front site on. need to order an rear and some screws to mount the underrib.
