Default Ammunition Accountability Legislation

Remember how Obama said he was'nt going to take away your guns? Well, it seems that his allies in the Anti-Gun world have no problem taking your Ammo.
The Bill that is being pushed in 18 States requires All Ammunition to be (Encoded) by the Manufacture a data base of all ammunition sales. So they will know how much YOU buy and what calibers.
NOBODY CAN SELL AMMUNITION AFTER JUNE 30th UNLESS THE AMMUNITION IS CODED.
Any privately held (Uncoded) ammunition MUST BE DESTROYED by July 1st 2011. (INCLUDING HAND LOADED AMMO) They will also charge a .05cent TAX on EVERY ROUND! So a Brick of 22's will go up ENORMOUSLY!
If they can Deprive you of your Ammo, they Dont Need to Take YOUR GUNS! Take NOTE, This Legislation is CURRENTLY PENDING in 18 States...Ala.AZ.CA.Conn.HA.IL.IN.KY.MY.MS.MO.NJ.NY .PA.RI.SC.TN and Washington.
Let your Friends and Family know about this Bill and let's ALL help to fight it. Call Your Congressman and let them know how you feel.
To find more about the Anti-Gun Group that is Sponsoring this Legislation and the specific Legislation for each State go to ......

THOSE OF YOU WHO VOTED FOR THE MESSIAH (AND YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE) HAVE NO ONE TO BLAME BUT YOURSELVES! This wont stop here folks, if it happens in these 18 States it WILL EVENTUALLY HAPPEN IN ALL OF THEM. IT HAS ALREADY STARTED!!!!!!!!!!!
ONE SMALL STEP FOR OBAMA, ONE GIANT LEAP FOR THE ANTI'S. BP

My first inclination was not to respond to this post. Theproposed legislation failed inall 18states where it was introduced. It never got out of committee in any of those 18 states. The driving force behind this is one company with some new technology to peddle. They get some anti-gun political hack to introduce a billthey hope will bring them business.

Such a proposal is being pushed by a company that holds a patent on bullet-coding technology. But none of the 31 bills introduced last year ever made it out of committee.Despite the urgent tone of this widely forwarded message, which we have been asked about dozens of times, the "Ammunition Accountability Act" so far has shown few signs of life. The National Research Council last year, in a report requested by the Department of Justice, called the technology "promising" but stopped short of recommending any requirement, and instead called for more research and competition.

The idea is being pushed mainly by a single company that holds a patent on bullet-coding technology, so far without much success. Last year lawmakers in 18 states proposed legislation that would require handgun ammunition to be coded, but not one of those bills came to a vote or even made it out of committee. In 2005 the California state Senate approved a so-called "Ammunition Accountability" measure by a vote of 21 to 18, but the proposal then died in the Assembly without coming to a vote there.

Does anyone know what company it is that has that patent? I'd sure like to know who to boycott.

Thanks prohunter. I did a little searching with that info. Looks like a small stand-alone company, not a subsidiary of some big outfit that the gun owning community could put pressure on. Listening to that guy from ACSon the NRA video is scary. He wants to be rich and doesn't really care about much else. Check out this thread. http://castboolits.gunloads.com/showthread.php?t=39487
