Semi, if that gets you going here is one in 58 caliber that I would love to get but don't have the funds. It's on Auction Arms right now.

Gotbuck.. that looks like a Hawkins Big Bore. They were a great rifle. 1-48 twist. They shot roundball and conicals well. Now for the sake of the weak hearted, would you all please stop posting these things. They are very tempting. Besides, I am looking for a .50 caliber Hawkins not another big bore.

Maybe he knows it's a hawkins and that is why he's asking for help with the other one.

Yeah, I knew it was a Hawken - had the old brain out of gear because the seller called it a Renegade. Anyway, the ad is gone from that forum. Maybe Cayugad called the guy and has it on the way to him. After all, he DOES need another gun.

Gotbuck I have a hawkins flintlock, and actually I have a Hawkins cap lock but its a .54 caliber. I wanted a .50 caliber cap lock because I don't have one andso I could do some playing with that as well...

And no I did not buy it Semisane... I thought about it then looked at the gun rack and slapped myself straight.

Cayugad, that 58 cal is at $ 400 is that too high? I've never seen many with that caliber and that condition. It is a kit gun the owner says.
