Bad ignition is not a normal problem with Renegade's, I have seen it before when I was in the business, the two I have seen had a flange of metal in the snail where the two drilled [the one that goes under the nipple and the one where the powder comes down into the snail from the barrel. Both worked fine when that was cleared out so the powder could go where it could be ignited. Lee

My .50 Renegade 1/48 twist likes 350 maxi-hunters on top of 90 gr. of Pyrodex Select with a hot shot nipple and CCI Magnum #11 caps.

Try 80-90gr FFG and the TC Maxi-ball in your .50 I gave up on 777 due to hangfires.Worse in a .54! Never noticed it any nicer to clean than real BP..................Harold
