What a beautiful deer... And an excellent story as well. Was the exit hole bigger then the entrance hole? Since you hit shoulders, we can finally see if these shockwaves do expand or not when they hit bone. Some say the things just zip right through.

Congratulations on the deer. I would have never let anything that nice walk by me without paying respects either...

Here is a picture of the bullet. I could see them zipping right through if they didn't hit bone. But with good shot placement I also can't see deer going to far. First shockwave bullet I have everrecovered. Itexpanded only aquarter of a inch after going through both shoulders. To me it held together real good after going through that much bone? Little meatlost -neat holes - not muchbloodshot meat. Butcher weight was 147 lbs.- the poor boy didn't have an ounce of fat on him- the does must have been running him ragged. Its my third buck in 4 years all shot shockwaves withzero tracking. Am I happy with them - you betcha- am going to keep on recommending them to meself. Lastly thank you all for helping me become a lot better hunter then I ever though I could be.

While the bullet did loose some mass, that is excellent expansion.. that's what I wanted to see...

Nice bigun congrats!

Ill post about the wound channel of the buck I shot yesterday ,w/ a 250 SW,through both shoulders, tomorrow after I skin him.. Actually shot him again while he was lying on the ground when I walked up on him, that bullet should still be in him. If I find it , Ill post a pic of that too.

Thanks for the bullet photo. The shockwave did its job in transferring all of its energy to the deer. A lot of trauma.
