Great story and buck! I'd also be interested in the expansion of the SW. My buddy shot a deer at 20 yards and it went right through him without expanding. Congrats!

Congrats on a fine buck...
I shot my buck a couple of weeks ago w/ the TC Omega & a 250gr Shockwave (Yellow ballistic Tip) and 150 grains of pelltesat 150 yards and he just crumbled. Never took a step. Big deer too... dressed over 200lbs. blew right through him w/ a huge entrance & exit hole.
My buddy shot his the next day around 30 yards w/ the same load quartering away... huge entry hole and just crushed the opposite shoulder blade. Deer made it about 6 feet.

Thanks all for all your nice comments. I had to leave my deer camp Tuesday night for some minor family matters at home. Hoping to get back Sat. to take his hide off. The bullet ended up just under the hide of his off shoulder. I could see & feel the bullet outline. With any luck I am going to try & photograph & post pictures of the entrance - exit holes plus bullet. As for his weight I am guessing around 250 lbs. live weight based on one I shot last year that topped the scales at 273 lbs. live weight. No scales this year so will only have butcher shop weight to go on. That said outside right now there is a blizzard going on.
