Omega's Breech Plug PIA

RE: Omega's Breech Plug PIA
I use Gorilla Grease and I dont tighten it REAL tight
After every shooting session the BP gets cleaned and relubbed.
TC makes two tools that I have for my Encore,1 is a Barrel thread cleaner and the other looks like a battery terminal cleaner,it's round with a wire brush inside.I screw the BP in and out a few times and it is spotless. If you use grease make sure you lube the threads inside the barrel as well as the BP.I use a lot and screw it in and out a few times to make sure it is all coated then clean the excess.
Even if I were not going to clean the gun(which Doesn't happen but could)I back out the BP and them retighten just to make sure it's not siezed

RE: Omega's Breech Plug PIA
I have no love for T/C Breech plug grease at all. I had the Black Diamond stick twice, and the CVA Staghorn stick once using their grease. I use that to grease things NON Muzzleloader now. I changed over to CVA Slick Breech plug and nipple grease for the longest time. And that stuff works excellent. Never a problem. Then they up and changed the forumla. While it still worked, it was a PITA to work with. So I went to tape. But never trusted just the tape. I then tape and add my little coat of Slick 50 One Grease, and they come out smooth as silk.
