Just bought a CVA Kodiak, your thoughts?
I have an oldCVA Hunterbolt 54 cal. I wanted a new gun that used 209 primers. I didnt have alot I money to spend. I bought a CVA Kodiak. I am going to take the scope off of my Hunterbolt and put in on my Kodiak. I dont take the 100 yard shots. What do you all think of this gun?

Good decision - I think you will likethe Kodiacmuch better than the Buckhorn. One of the ML's I shoot is an Omega and I really do like it and basicallythe Kodiac is a copy of that gun. I bet it will shoot very well for you.
what caliber did you get? - I am assuming 50, but a lot of people have been going to the 45... I am old so I still prefer the 50...

I had a CVA Kodiak mag in .50 cal. I received this gun as a gift from my girlfriend (I had to marry her after that). I would still have the gun, but it was stolen from me in a burglary. It was a shooter. 245 grain Powerbelt arrowtips were dead on at 115 yards over 100 grains of 777 pellets. I did have a problem with the crud ring between shots. Not sure if it was due to the gun or the powder, but a consistent cleaning method seemed to cure this between every shot.

I got a Kodiak Pro 45cal last year for christmass, I love it it is a shooter. I am still finding out what it likes to eat, but I got it down to 2" groups at 50 yards.
