Actually, I've gotten to the point where I do most of my shooting with GOEX. Haven't bought Pyrodex or Triple Seven in almost a year and am down to my last 1/2 canister of each. I'll probably replace them only if I get a good post-Christmas sale at WalMart. Getting ready to order my second case of GOEX though. I'm down to the last five cans in the case I bought last April. That's a LOT of smoke Paw-Paw.

But I read how people are drilling out their breech plugs,

Been there and done that. The original Clean Shot pellets were nearly impossible to light so i drilled out a breech plug. Clean Shot pellets still did not light so iloaded about five grains of granular before the pellets and that worked great with a new breech plug.

Drilling out the breech plugmakes a mess of the gunwith all the blowback.

Actually the more posts I read on BlackHorn 209, the more I am wondering if I was just lucky and the stuff worked fine for me.
I think the main problem is too many people are trying to put a square peg in a round hole. The fact is that BH just won't work in some rifles (or breach and BP designs I should say) and they're trying to make it work anyway. The guns that it does work in, everyone seems to love it-including myself.Though I don't shoot 10lbs of powder a year either like some of you guys do

Sorry I know this is off of the original topic, Semi I can't help you, here in TN A LOT of people are using smokeless now but not many of them use the Red CR. Most are using the MMP 12s.I don't know what the advantage would be to switch other than it's fun to try

I got two bottles of it when it first came out, I have shot up one and it did work fine for me, but I still hate the price for 10 oz's even at $24... and it really can crud up your BP...

The real problem for me is that I have 18#'s of T7 sitting on the shelf and Wal-Mart will be haveing their end of the year thing here mid month. And the real BAD things is T7 works great for me - ha not hampered my shooting at all... now if I could just find that darn elk... since the season started I am sure they all got in the space ship and have lifted to safety - they will be back Jan. 1

Guys now I have to decide whether to sight in the new accura with BH or do I use T-7. I have a can of each and am leaning toward the T-7 now. To make matters worse the price of BH has droped so I can not even trade for a can of T-7 and come out ahead. Yes I paid the high dollar price for it a few months back.
