Accuracy tip.

Accuracy tip.
Guys, I forgot to mention this when I was out shooting the other day. The first time out with the Genesis, I was loading it with my fiberglass range rod with a spin jag. But as you know, loading the sabots takes a lot more pressure to load than lead conicals and that fiberglass rod was like trying to stick a nightcrawler back into its hole.
Well the next time out I used the stiffer ramrod that came with the Genesis and a screw on T handle. The first couple shots I noticed as I was loading that the sabot seemed to be 'skipping' down the barrel. Then I realized that the previous outing, the spin jag was allowing the bullet/sabot to follow the rifling down the bore. I Backed off on the t handle a little to make it loose and the 'skipping' stopped. Accuracy seemed to improve too because the sabot was grooved to the rifling.

Excellent point - I have been using the spin on my range rod for years now it is valuable tool.

I assume this is what you're talking about.I have experienced the same skipping feeling and I might have to try this. It seems a little expensive for that tool but I'm sure the accuracy is worth it.

That will work I have modified the length of my gun ram rods so that i can put these on and hunt with them. It does not swivel as easily as he true Spin-Jag but it works... and is less money..

I believe Cabela's has them for a bit less. I think something like $8. And they also have them in .45 cal. And look at it this way Gotbuck - you will have it forever. So even $12 aint bad. Heck I paid more than that for my marriage license - (still can't find the darn expiration date on that thing)

That is exactly what I do - buy a solid aluminum ram rod cut to length and thread the cut end insert the jag of your desire...
Here is a TC super jaginstalled on an Omega ram rod - cut the rod and drilled and re-threaded...
Wish they made a ram rod with a spin jag on one end and a T handle power rod (all steel or aluminum) on the other
