Semisane, the hollow points on those .41 s dont look like their as deep as the hollow points on the .40 180 grain gold dots. Im wondering if that will give you better penetration.

Plus it's 17% heavier than the 180. Given my experience with that bullet out of the .41 Mag Blackhawk at 1500 fps, I would expect excellent expansion and a pass through out of a ML rifle.

Alright Sounds like a pretty good choice if it shoots good. Maybe Ill pick up 100 this week.NO NO must resist, no money in wallet , Muzzleloading breakingthebank. Just settle on 200 grain SST for deer ths year.Sorry bout that almost broke down

Take heart Burntmuch. Maybe they won't shoot well, and you won't have to mortgage the house for a box or two. But if they DO shoot well, I expect they would beatthe 200 SSTs terminalperformance on deer.

Nother thought entered my pea-pikin mind this morning while stting and waiting for the big buck to entertain me.... I bet that 41 would work really well in a regular MMP sabot in my White U-Mag... the 40's are just abit loose - they hole a great pattern to 100 but kinda fade at 200.... think I leaking pressure around the sabot because it really is not snug. Might have to try that... Dang! I hate to go buy another box of bullets - got all kinds partial boxes laying around here.

Thank you very much for the offer... I'll wait till later and get some + I'll probably pick up a pack of Haverster "CR's" for the other guns - I think that would be a much better bullet to shoot than the 200 grain Hornady XTP.
I do wish you would shoot it soon - I want to see the target and the velocity...
