Default shockwave success and first deer kill

Well just finished nine days of muzzleloading here in arkansas. Saw alot of deer, small bucks and does. I did manage to take a 15 inch 8 pt with my optima elite. Shot him at fifty yards, the shockwave entered just behind the shoulder shredding his lungs, he only managed to go forty yards before giving up the ghost. I was really impressed with the shockwaves performance. This is the first time that i have used them.Sorry but I dont have any pics of the buck, I ran off and left the camera at home. But the highlight of the trip was my 16 yr old son came up late saturday night and hunted sunday with me. He didnt want to hunt with a muzzleloader he wanted to get one with his bow. He shot a very nice doe with at 25 yards. He hit her just a little back taking the liver. But we found her about 500 yards down the draw. Yesterday was a proud day for me. My son has never really wanted to hunt, but this year he asked me for a bow to hunt with, so I bought him one.He practiced all summer and yesterday it payed off. I was so proud. I hoped now he is hooked on deer huntinglol.

Congratulations on taking the deer with a muzzleloader and to your son's bow deer.

Congrats to you and your son. Hope he sticks it out and continues to broaden his hunting. But if he only sticks with a bow that is fine too. As long as he is out there. It's a lot better than sitting in front of the video games all day long.

Good, how big was the exit hole? Did you hit rib or bone going in or going out? There is no sweeter moment than to know a son is going to follow in your footsteps hunting, because it is something you love. Congratulations to both you and your son, well done. Chap
