Default Triumph/BH209/300Remingtons/ Good combo

Packed up my Savage and another new toy I picked up Friday and headed toward the range. I'd been reading lately about the TC Triumph and how well it shot with Blackhorn 209. I sold one of my centerfires last week and took the money and bought my grandson one of those Triumphs [$327 @ the local Walmart] and then added my Nikon 3x9 too it. Several on MM and this forumhave writtenthat they were getting good results with 110-115gnv BH209 and various bullets. I planned to try some 250 sst, 275 Parker BE, and the 300 Remingtons. I was more than surprised at how the Remingtons performed. They hadproved themselves to be very accurate in my Savage. Two of the 200 yd groups shot today were the smallest I've ever shot with any ML at that distance. I quit shooting the sst's and the Parkers after one group and enjoyed the Remingtons the rest of the day. My Savage took the day off also. My grandson is only 5 years old so I'll have plenty of time to get used to this new toy.. Check these out.

"My grandson is only 5 years old so I'll have plenty of time to get used to this new toy."You'll probably have to rebarrel it for him.

Super shooting! Which Remington and which sabot?

Underclocked;
The Remingtons were the .457 jackeded hollowpoints and the sabots were the Harvester Black Crushed Rib. This combo has proven to be one of the most accurate in my Savage. I get them in bulk from Cabelas @ $26 per 100 so they're affordable to shoot. Yesterdays results wereobtained byreading what was working for others and a lot of luck in finding what works in this rifle fast. I really like the way the Triumph feels and shoots. You're right, I'll probably wear this one out before my grandson gets it.
