I did some shooting today
The first picture is my Investarms / lyman trade rifle with a GM 45cal LRH barrel
shooting 225 PB AT over 80grn Pyrodex Select RS FFG
This was the first outing with this rifle and the new barrell.
I had to remove the nipple and put some powder in the bolster the first few times but after that with a firm slap on the side of the barrell it would fire
Each rifle started out with a clean bore with no swabbing in between shots
3 shot group,open sights,40 yards,lawn chair with shooting sticks
next photo, same rifle and load but at 75 yards
Next is the TC Encore 50 cal SS Nikon omega scope
270 PBPlatinum AT over 90 grn Pyrodex Select @ 75 yards
I have the scope sighted in for the SW 250 over three pyro pelletts from the last time I went out and forgot my loose powder.
I was shooting for groups and not bulleyes but my point of aim was at the bullseye with both rifles.

That is some real good shooting.
That open sight shooting is the real challenge to me. Especially with fiber optic sights. I do much better with the plain old iron sight, especially a buckhorn rear sight.

Lookin good Sax. I responded on the other forum too.
To me it looks like the GM likes a dirty bore as both groups had the #1 shots pretty much in the same area. Maybe a new powder would help keep them together but i honestly wouldnt touch a thing other than try a lower charge to see if what happens. Could have been a flinch too, never know!
That 225 is a fun bullet to hunt with too. Sight dead on @ 100 and be about 3" low @ 150yrds.

I used CCI #11's and winchester 209's for shotshells.
I would not rule out a flinch.I am prone to do that but I got better as the day went on.
