That 340 grainer should shoot very well from a 1:30 twist. Be sure to wipe any excess lube from the crown after loading the bullet. Sounds like that one needs to be a hair larger for your bore, bronco. That keyholing bullet may have had an air bubble trapped within, or a damaged nose- were they all weighed? In any case, a bullet that fits as loose as you mention probably isn't going to do very well. I like for my conicals to start with reasonable ease but engrave the rifling a little bit as they go down. Push them down smooth and slow with equal seating pressure as best you can (light to moderate). A flat-faced loading jag will be the best for those conicals.

Semi - I do not doubt you one bit. From the looks of them they were well casted bullets. I could see no defects on them at all. And like I said - they all miked within .0002" which is damn good.
I have a feeling the 405s along with a felt wad under them and a bit of tinkering with the charge, I can get them shooting really well out of this barrel.
