Well FG, maybe if you would have hit the center of the bucket like the rest of us would have instead of to the side it would have held together. Oh and BTW, I just love your new purse. Makes me wonder how 'good' a time you had at the rendevous?????? I don't recall you telling us about it.

All the days i went were wildy as hell, 20-25 mph winds and almost everyone i talked to was sick of it. I couldnt even imagine trying to shoot in that wind with my 40 grain charge Darn thing might have come around and hit some one. Even though i didnt shoot, it was still a lot of fun to walk around and talk to others. Next year i hopefully will have PC Camping gear "Tent atleast" and be able to stay the entire event do a lot of shooting.
Even talked my sister in to going and she actually enjoyed all the little set ups lol.
Oh and i did hit them darn buckets in the center! My first shot is always low when using the subs in the flinter They just dont hold up to the .54cal. I plan on buying a 5 gallon rubberised bucket at the feed store and see how that does.
Steve, Darn right it was the special ball! Those hornady/speers just dont expand like those PB balls i make.

About a year ago I fired a 597.5-grain, .735" PRB with 200 grains of Swiss FFg into a sand pile. It took me quite a lot of digging to find what was left of that ball-it was a lead washer just slightly smaller in diameter than a 50-cent piece ! I hate to think what it would do to an elk or a moose!
