Okay i wanted to try out my 80g pyrodex select charges so i took 2 shots at 58 yards and one shot at 20 and they performed excellent. They just didnt expand as much as the charges with 90 and 100 grains. Top bullet is 20 yards and the bottom 2 are 58 yards.

It looks like that is the most effective load, but I sometimes get a 200 yd shot so my first question is how much do they drop. Lee

Lee, see: http://www.powerbeltbullets.com/docs/PBB26inchballistics.pdf

and in particular this. So about 175 yards MPBR with 150 yard zero, 80g will not get you there. Chap

That is with a 100g charge, your showing 80. They look a lot stronger the the regular PB, they may hold up to the 100g charge, maybe even higher. Shoot some at 20 and 53 with 150g of powder and see what happens. They may stay together.

80g is what i shoot with the Coppers. These i will use 90 and 100g charges in my brothers and fathers rifles this year if we get tags. I'll be used my special made 224g powerbelt round ball in my .54 flinter with 110g goex.

Oh, And we're back to hunting in the thick forest again. No more long hunting trips with gas prices these days [:@] And no more long shots. No does either [&:]

Here are some pics to compare the new Platinum VS Copper. Huge difference in the hollow points, Or i should say, the hole that the plastic tip slides in to.
It also has a pointier shape.

Yea, they look good, stronger metal jacket, smaller hollow point. But how do they perform at 100g at 20 yards or 53. That would be a good test, but I think they will hold together.

Oh, how do you get multipictures to show up in 1 post? Do you do that with some free tool, or is it done on the forum and I just don't know how to do it. I know I can multiple cut and paste to say Paint or something like that but must be an easier way. Chap

Chap, I use photobucket and paste the HTTP picture button, its the little button thats yellow, has a couple tiny gray mountains and the gray sun. I think you are uploading drectly from your PC?

Also, Page one has the info on how they perform with 100 grains of PS and 20 and 58 yards.

Flawless!

OK, photobucket. I see. Thanks. Yes, the 20 yards is really pancaked out turning inside out, but not fragmenting, that is good. Thanks Chap
