What ML load is good for fox?
I want to try something new this year and hunt fox with my muzzleloader. and I plan on using a conical bullet but I dont know how much pryrodex pellets I should use. I want something that will get the job done but wont tear up the fur. What would be your suggestions? My guns specs are: Traditions In-Line 50cal 1:32' twist

First I would reccomend a 36 or 32 caliber rifle. If that' s not possible then I would try the smallest diameter bullets you could find and use a fairly light load so they won' t expand, preferably a light solid lead bullet in a sabbot.

If yo can' t use a small caliber, the key is to keep velocities low. If you shoot the .50, you' ll have to put up with .50 entrance and exit holes. I would use 50 to 60 grains, and use a round ball if you can find an accurate load in your rifle.
