Well I got a flyer from the powder co. with a bit more info.

It is noncorrosive, it forms a soot rather than a solid residue in the barrel should be good for 25 or so shot with outloosing any accuracy, when you clean you use any regular powder solvent.
Storage: is supposed to have the capability of extended storage under normal conditions with out any accuracy loss[ no extreme heat, what ever that is]
I notice in the velocity table that the differance for the weight of bullets is much smaller than I would expect.
with 100gr BH209
200grSW1993
200gr XTP1946
250grSW 1946
290grTMZ1936
Only 57 feet per second difference from a 200gr bullet to a 290 gr bullet.
I thought you all might find this interesting, I did. Lee

That does seem a bit low, I get about 200fps difference between the 300SW and the 200SW with 777 but I think some of that is the way the sabot fits. The 200 fits a bittighter so it probably develops more pressure. It should be interesting to see how it performs in our rifles as opposed to a test barrel. Do they indicate when it will be in stores and/or what stores are going to carry it?

Dose it say anything about Volum To Volum Measurements compared to 777 or Pyro I had heard that the 10oz Can will be the same as a 1lb can of 777 because it is measured diff or you don't have to use as much of it to get the same Velocitys as you get with 777 , Something to that effect!

Indiana SmokePole,Somewhere it some of the liture I read it said you could get 62 shots of 100 gr with a volume measure out of the 10 ounce can.
dmurphy317All the distributers for western powder should have it.
outdoorsmen, it was released to be distributed the way I understand it after the shot show so it should be in some stores in March and in all that order it before July, if they dont order it right away it will proable depend on the demand.

I know that I'm gonna have to try some, even at $30 a bottle. Heck, I've spent that much on worse things, just not very often lately!!

thumper50, what I heard from my friend was between 25 and 30 I am hoping it will be a bit less than 30; it will be interesting to see how it works out it is supposed to have less pressure than 777 but more velocity so you should be able to get the same velocity with less powder but from what I have seen its only a little faster than 777FFF but if this is all true then I should be able to put together a mean hunting load. If you get close to 2000 with a 100 gr load and it has less pressure than 777-ff like they say what will a 150 gr clock out at?
This is not done yet but will be of interest to some of you when it is finished.

Thanks UC. That is a good report. When that stuff hits the market we're going to have a lot of interesting reportsto talk about. And OH, the die hard traditionalist are gonna poop their pants over one more steptoward cartridge rifles. I am certainly not a traditionalist - though I respect their position - but I do find myself moving back toward sidelocks.
