Cabelas hawken
I cant find the manual to my fathers cabelas hawken, .50 does anyone know what the max powder charge is? Got a bunch of powerbelts on the way and want to do testing with hopefully 120 grains pyrodex. I just wasnt sure if the cabelas hawken can handle the charge or not.

RE: Cabelas hawken
The Cabela's Hawkins is made by Investarms. The same people that make the Lyman Trade Rifle. If you go to Lyman's website you can download the manual for a trade rifle and it will give you all the information you need. According to my Investarms manual, they claim with 2f powder the max charge for conicals is 80 grains. According to the Lyman manual they claim 100 grains as a max for conicals but suggest 80 grains for best accuracy.
