I think you are all jumping to conclusions by calling this guy a moron. Maybe he put some thought into this and knew he would need the extra oooumph from smokeless to get a bullet through 4 deer with a single shot to smash the current world record for deer-kabob. It said black powder. It's not like the powder he used was white or anything.

Says to shoot blackpowder ONLY stamped right into the barrel.
Probably if you asked him, he would say "The powderwas black, or at least dark gray".

Things like that worry me about shooting my CVA. On the other hand, I know the Pyrodex pellets in mine AREN'T smokeless. I can attest to this after firing it out of the blind the other day with three of four windows zipped up. By the time I realized the wind caught the smoke it was almost all blown back into the blind. I practically had to unzip and climb out of the window just to get air......Yet another lesson learned about guns and hunting.

Beezer, will you be posting pictures of the dispatched deer?

"The powder was black, or at least dark gray"
They do make manufacturers of shotgun shells color code 12 vs 20 gauge etc.. Does make you wonder why they (our fine representatives) wouldn't require powder makers to, if not color code the powder, color code all black powder and substitute packaging as, say, black.

Almost a Darwin award winner. Ya just never know when something like that will happen, just a few months ago a guy next to me at the gun range blew up a Marlin 1895 45/70 shooting "light" reloads.
