Notice from the pictures of the two rifles that the Rolling block stock is about the same height as the raised comb on the KP1. It is also a slightly different slope. I find that my KRB is a little difficult to get down enough to see the iron sights but I only use a scope and the stock is perfect for me with a scope. It also lines up great. I have a problem with Remington centerfires that do not and find that Winchesters do as well as custom stocked Mausers. Something about the Remington that does not fit me. Personally I am liking the feel of the KRB and the weight does not seem to feel any heavier than my Omega although it is about a pound heavier. Most of the weight is in the breech area (big heavy hunk of metal) so it is balanced well. Forgot to mention that some of the weight is probably in the stock as it is real solid compared to the wimpy camo synthetic stock on the Omega. (Anybody else notice how slow this site is?? I love the site and the people on it but the wait for it to react is irritating).

Site is fine for me today.

That 97 is not NIB, it's just unfired. I don't have a thing to go with it either. Just the rifle.

You should shoulder my x-150 when it has the scope on it just a tad over 10lbs

yep i think im going to keep it to. I found a place that sells curly maple stock blanks and that X150 would look awesome dressed up in maple. $45 for a maple blank. A few hours of work with my dremel should have it set into place nicely.

I shot my KP1 with the Shockwave Sabots and 100gr of T7 fffg and had excellent results for the first outing. This was shot with open sights and at 50 yards.

However I want to try some conicals from the BS but I am not sure what to buy yet. Do you think the GMB on all the KP1's would be very close to the same diameter? (0.503" to 0.504" roughly) . I would like something in the 450 to 550 grain range for elk hunting.
