triple 7 magnum
what kind of speed should i get out of a t/c pro hunter .50
with (2) two triple 7 magnum pellets and a 250 grain s/w.
the box said 2005 fps with the superglides but i have not had any luck
with that sabot.i get alot better groups with the black sabots on the s/w bullets. and also can so one tell me what this load is = to when using
triple 7 powder. thanks alot.

RE: triple 7 magnum
first off, welcome to the forum. If the load is accurate, I would not be all that worried about the velocity. I would guess you would be 2000 fps or better with that load. Which is plenty for anything you want to shoot. If the SuperGlides so not work, try the standard shockwaves with the black sabots.

RE: triple 7 magnum
Your barrel is very similar to my Triumph, by velocity I have come to believe that the super pellets are similar to 120 gr of loose 777-FF which with most loads is where mine will lose it group and become eratic. I have also had poor results for the Superglidesabots most of the people that I have heard from with two exceptions have also had poor results from theSuperglides. I also find the expense perhaps I sould say extra expense of both the Super pellets and the Superglides completely unnecessary as mine will tear sigle ragged hole with 110gr 777-FFwith several bullets and the Crush Rib sabot . RE: triple 7 magnum
i have been shooting 777-2f at 110 grains with 250 s/w's and
the black sabots with sub-one" groups.and i know that speed is not
everything but, it is nice to havemore knockdown power and still
shoot somewhat flat .right know i have my gun set 3" high at
100 yards and at 150 yards deadon and 175 yards it is 4-5" low.
so i gusse what i'am asking is will i be better off staying with the loose
powder or going with the magnums as long as i can get them to good.
and also i wood like to know what kind of velocity i am getting out of the 777 2-f with 110 grains and the s/w ? thanks alot
