My cheap Staghorn has had a 4X Pro Staff on it for four years. It has stood up to about 1,000 firings on a very lightweight gun. It is a good low light scope as well: Have killed dozens of hogs in evening low light conditions with that gun and scope combination.

The 3200's eye relief varies from 3in to 4in depending on the model but I have been hit by one w/a 3.5. First and only time. (first time I ever shot that gun and wasn't holdin' it tight because I didn't expect it to kick like it did)

Wolfhound is right on the money as usual. I do not smother the rifle into my shoulder but I do make sure it is firm into the shoulder. When I don't they rifle scope reminds me by kissing the brim of my hat.

The eye relief on the 3200 is 3.3" inches on 9 power and 4.2 inches on 3 power.
I am not a recoil consciuos person so keep that in mind, well, that's not true a 3 1/2" 12 ga. Turkey load certainly gets my attention, but anyway I think I have been popped in the forehead twice in 40 years - both times were my own fault.
I do pull the rifle snugly into my shoulder shooting off a bench & rest and really not put any pressure anywhere else on the gun. At the range I shoot almost exclusivly on 9 power and have not had any problems. It has come back and hit the bill of my baseball cap on occasion, but then again that tells you how far the scope actually is away from me... If you are a shooter I do not think you have to worry about it...

I have a 2x7x32 3200 on my BLR 300 win mag and it is fine. I use 3x9x40 dusk to dawn banners on my Omega and 30-06. As they die off I will replace thema 3200.

Ifn you are gonna git a 3200 - are you gonna go for the Ballistic reticle? I really do like mine... Have you found a pic of the ballistic reticule yet? It is really a simple and does not distract or diminsh your view...
I tried a firefly for awhile, but did not like the size of the crosshairs - but that was jist me, there are lot of people out there that like em...

Sabotloader, Cayugad, and Wolfhound76,
Thanks for the info. It sounds like i have nothing to worry about on the scope creep.
Cheers,
Chris

I am a little fussy on eye releif of a scope but that is only because I do get sloppy on the range when shooting sometimes, and have been tapped. The funny thing is when hunting, everything must kick into standard drive because often times I am not sure the rifle even had recoil and that was with some rather stout rifles.
