Thank you, he was excited. In Va in the county I live in we can take 3 bucks per year, unlimited doe in the county I live in, Loudoun Co--our season goes from 1stSat in Nov to Satuday in Jan--this year they will extend it to first Sat in Feb. I grew up in Tioga County PA, near the NY line, Elkland Pa. I leave Friday for a weekend hunt in NY State at my brother's camp, then go up again after Thanksgiving wiht my son for another long weekend hunt--Friday, Sat, Sunday. In NY you can hunt on Sunday.Chap Gleason

Holy !!!!

Unlimited does. I am truly living in the wrong country!!! Here I'm lucky to get a doe tag and if I do it is only one deer and we're done. Some area's of the Province have muliple tags, but not here.

I have hunted "west of Blue Ridge" in George Washington National forest in Shenadoah County for about 15 years, never MLer. Doe season is last 3 days of the 2 week season and there is a two buck limit as I recall. Big woods hunting. In my county, the land is chopped up into 5 and 10 acre min--estates with big houses, creates excellent deer habitat, since a lot of edges and thick stuff. Getting access to land is the issue. A lot of deer here, but mostly small 80 to 100 lbs, some big bucks.

Thanks. 7 is quite a few, since were I grew up it was one deer only per hunter. 6 deer will take me thru an entire year with venison for a family of 4, 3 meals/week of 2 lbs per meal is 6 lbs per week times 50 (there are 52 weeks in a year) gives 300 lbs, a 100lb deer gives about 45-50 lbs of meat. The deer above 6 I give away to folks that need it, mainly at my church.

Hi,

Yeah 7 is quite a few but in all honesty im lucky to get two a year myself mainly because a lot of it has to do with me hunting on land that really doesnt have to much to offer, but am thankful for what I do get yeah I kind of think 7 is to many for us to get really. One deer does me okay eating by myself and once in a while my son likes it other then that im usually good. Thats really great out of you giving the extra that you dont need to places like the church. I think that, really is great not to many people in this world are like that really. I usually get deer given to me A guy I know takes them down off his farm and usually calls me and offers usually I will take a couple then give the others to my friend. I cut up 6, two years ago all by myself man thats a lot of work to do. I have cut every single deer up I have ever had.........Shaun
