Default Elk Weather!

Im hoping the weather is like this for 3ed season elk! If it is, I'll be buying a cow elk tag and loading up the horse and seeing if my neighbor will let me hunt his property. It was nice to wake up this morning and see this. Already have 6" on the ground and its still coming down hard!

Couple weeks ago i tilled up a small area and planted some grass seed out to see if it would take to the soil and the snow is really going to give it a boost and hopefully have a small food plot growing.

Thanks for posting that picture. It reminds me of the most enjoyable experience in my life. I was sitting on Electric Mountain in Colorado at 11,000 feet in two feet of snow. It was the most memorable day of my hunting life. No elk that day, but man what a view. I suffered a handicap and will probably never get back to 11,000 feet again. Thanks, Tom.

Electric Mountain is just outside of Paonia. If I remember correctly it is about 1-1/2 hours south and slightly west of Glenwood Springs. Lots and lots of BLM land, and lots and lots of elk. We had alot of successful hunts on Electric Mountain. Especially the early MZ hunt. Tom.
