The Savage ML10 is possibly the best factory muzzleloaderanywhere. Offers the option of using smokeless powder for little or no messy clean-up and stronger loads if you want. Typically comes with 1 1/2" or better 100 yd accuracy out of the box and is priced about with the TC Omega. Costs more than your CVAs, but it is one heck of a good piece of equipment.
I think he wanted to go traditional.

bronko...thanks for the offer but I am right handed. How did you like the rifle? Did you have any dealings with Lyman?

Lyman Deerstalker is what I use, it takes everything that we have around here, it'll shoot 490,495 PRBs, and all sorts on conicals, I shoot up to 400 grains and down to 250 grains and everything in between.
