More .45 fun.
Found enough RS to fill my clear powder flask so i took some .440 Roundballs, an assortment of patches and Two 285 grain great plains bullets.
First 2 shots were with 40grains RS .440 PRB with prelubed borebutter patches. i just hope it holds up this well at the rendezvous with PRB..
Next i shot the great plains bullets, 80 grains RS, suprised the heck out of me that the RS had more kick with these bullets than i got with the triple7. 1" center/center 2 shot group. Think these bullets may do better with RS@ 100 yards. Need to test them more.
Loaded up again with PRB, 40 grains RS and i bought some unlubed patches, let them soak up virgin olive oil and then patted them dry between 2 paper towels to soak up the leftover oil. They shot decent. A lot better than the PRB's i shot without any lube.
It was nice to shoot RS again, i miss that sulfur smell when the rifle goes off. Great day to go shooting, high 70's a slight breeze to cool you down some.
Bad news, My shooting table is about ready to fall over Time to cut some support boards and bring down the nailgun.
