Outdoorslover is using open sights, so 4" group at 50 would be OK in my mind with open sights, 6" unacceptable. I have had excellent grouping with 90 to 100g of loose 777 and a 300g XTP or 300g Gold Dot in my Omega. So Outdoorslover may need to do so more load and bullet selection, I however am using a 3-9 scope.

I am shooting 4 inch groupsat 50 but 3 inch at 100 (I ain't sh**ing you)with my Omega. I can post target pics lol. The targetsfromthe Apex ML wouldn't be worth seeing because there was no holes in them[:-][&:]. You have to hit the target to produce holes.
Anyways, I'll be preoccupied with my new(other) gun now. I bought a Remington 1100 with fully rifled slug barrel. I have to get that thing tuned up.

Actually, the Remington seems to be more accurate. That thing ain't no ML, I'll tell you that. I sighted it in today at 50 yards. It took me 5 shots to get it and then I pegged them all through the center. It was about a 3.5 inch, 5 shot group(with cheap ass shells too). I love that gun already and I have a feeling I'll be shooting it a bit more than the ML. That sucker is expensive to shoot--super expensive. I spent $20 on 10 shells and shot them all today. It competes with the ML for cost, that's for damn sure. I take back my comment, I won't AFFORD to shoot it more than the ML. [&:]
I'm still a Ml man, don't worry.

I contacted CVA and told them my problems with their product and they said mail it in. If it can't be fixed they will replace it.
So far so good.

$20 for 10 shells? Stop buying name brand stuff! I get winchester shotgun shells at walmart, a brick of 100 rounds for $14

I buy all myshotshells (bird shot)shells at Wal Mart too. For pheasants I do splurge and spend 10 bucks a box on the best shells ever made--Fiocchi Golden Pheasants though.
