[]Checked my local Scheels sporting goods store, in search of Goex FFF. No luck. They only carry Pyrodex and Triple 7. Haven't checked Cabelas or Gander Mountain yet. Where do you find your black powder - not just the modern black powder propellants ?

I asked that very question On a Michigan forum. Not much near me and what is with in 25 miles cost as much as if you ordered a pound and paid a hasmat fee. I was told to contact the distrubiter. There isn't one in Michigan, nearest one is Ohio.
Our Gander mountians don't carry it either. It is the storage issue and insurance.

Don't know where you are located...Fortunately I have a Goex distributor located about an hour and a half away...a pound is $11.55...You can find their distributors on their website...
I did check with Bass Pro last month in Charlotte...they also carried...about $20 a can...

Many of the "Chain Sporting Good Stores" do not carry black powder. That is because of all the federal regulations reference storing and sell the stuff. Many times the small "Mom & Pop" Sporting good stores are the places you find it. I order mine by the case from Power Inc. Then the hazmat fee does not hurt as bad.
