No need to get a tied in a twist. I simply disagree, now that I own one, that a blued Z5 is more desirable than a Stainless Apex. It fits me and my experience is just as important as yours, probably more important, because my experience is good, like most others. That's all I said to Al.

just curious, but what groups are you shooting out of the rifle now?
With all the BPI/CVA bashing he is doing I would like to know this too.

Well guys, I suspect that the answer to that will be forthcoming as I notice he has been very busy these past couple of days finding out how well 300 xtps, 240 xtp, and 250 SW's shoot in his Omega. Well enough anyway to recommend them. See below. The answer I suspect will be coming if you are patient enough.

Added: Oh now I notice he's been in this thread a long time. Expect the response to detailed and lengthy.

The answer is " much better than the Apex" and that's all you need to know.

My point was that the multitude of the top shooters and hunters choose the TC's. I also know for a fact that the CVA's havemany, many bad barrels. That infodidn't come from Chuck Hawks either. It's common knowledge. Look it up on the net. I didn't mean that Pglasgow wasn't a great shot. However,I have never seen him shoot soI can't believe everything he says. I know many people who say they get much better groups than they do. Half of the time it's totally unrealistic. 2 inch groups at 100 yards is expert material. I can't do that but I did get a 24 shot group yesterday with open sights that was about 6 inches or so. I was shooting 230 grain Sure Shot sabots and 100 grains Pyrodex. I shoot3 inch groups consistentlyat 50. I would say I'm fair for an inexperienced 15 year old.

I'm sorry I piss you guys off so much. I've got a big mouth but I stand by what I say. I just need to say it the right way.

I will accept your apology. Think nothing of it. I hope your Omega gives you years of great service and you love it as much then as you do now. I hope the same for me and my Apex and the same for anyone who recently purchase a new muzzleloader.

Southern Hunter194: Would you consider a sidelock? You can get some quality guns for a decent price. Had I gotten my White Mountain Carbine first, I probably would have never gotten my Encore. She set me back $175.00.

umm.. If you are shooting a 6" group at 100 yards with the omega, Im betting that apex was in perfect working order. With 3 years under your belt i wouldnt say you are an inexperienced shooter. What did you shoot with the nef? I think u said u had a nef?

When did this happen, Doegirl? I mean full bore lead conical and real BP? Great knock 'em flat load and some great shooting there.
