I bought two boxes of those. They arrived just before I was to leave for the bp weekend. Not much time to work up a load. I had a bunch of 140 gr of t7 already weighted on a scale and in film canisters, so I used that. Think I'll start lighter when I see how they really shoot. Anyway, fired 3 rounds, dead on at 25, 3" high at 125 and about 5" low at 160 and went hunting. Shot a big Ill doe broadside at 30 yards. Looked like the rib cage on entrance had been hit hard with a sledge hammer, jellied alot of the organs the bullet contacted, and exited the body about 6" to the side of the entrence wound, back near the diaphram. I think I'll slow the lead down a little next year. I may experiment with sabots. They came with short black and seemed to slide down my Knight disc pretty easy. May see if the long change anything.

Those old .44 225 grain Buffalos shot great for me too. Not very streamlined though. Good luck.

Hey lonewolf,
I went ahead and bought that lot of bullets you linked on auction arms. I'm waiting on him to send me the payment info so I can get them on the way. Thanks for listing it.

I got the 5 boxes for $48 delivered. That's hard to beat short of a walmart clearance sale. It works out to just under 27 cents per bullet. If these shoot as good as the ones I tried last year I may order some more.

Well, I got the rounds last night. I like the fact that every bullet I weighed was exactly 285 grains. Not one bullet was 1 or 2 grains off. I like that as I'm very anal about how things weigh. Comes from shooting archery. While some of the tips are just a tad deformed I think this will be a great bullet for plinking, general shooting and even hunting. Won't be able to test it till I make an order from Magkor--reason...I need more powder.

Bullets are paid for and should ship soon. The seller offered me more boxes for $8 each shipped so I added a 6th box for a total of 216 bullets and $56 delivered. That works out to 26 cents each. I'm happy. Probably should have got more but with my new barrel, new GPS and Christmas my funds are gettin low.

While we're on the topic of Buffalo Bullets, has anyone shot the 302 gr. SSB's? I've found a pretty good deal on them, much cheaper than the 375 gr. loads that seem to be popular.
