If you want to by a new rifle, then by all means go for it. However, I suspect the rifle had nothing to do with missing the shots. Theonly time Iwould ever take a moving shot at a deer with a muzzleloaderis if he is wounded already.

I appreciate your input guys. Yes I did my part in missing those shots. No argument there, but I also dropped a jumped buck with the 308 opening day. Its not that the shot can't be made although ascope may be more help than the new rifle.I sold myStaghorn years ago and was hunting witha barrowed Buckhorn. So you see - it is time to get my own muzzle loader (again) and Iappreciate your helpdecidingwhich is the best.

An Omega is a fine rifle, I hope you meant end of shooting session
for cleaning breechplug not end of season.

If you do shoot at moving deer alot then just make sure the rifle swings good. I like the nef sidekick. They swing like a well made shotgun.
